Shimmery Leopard Print Nails featuring OPI James Bond collection

This is a trend I have long wanted to try but never got around to,  but I am so glad I finally tried it! Leopard print nails are so hit and miss in my opinion and I was worried that I would choose the wrong colours or something!
As it is these were so simple to do and I was so pleased with how they turned out

So I began with a base coat of The World is Not Enough, a part of the OPI Skyfall collection from late 2012. I bought the minis Bondettes set as I love OPI mini sets, they are the best way to try a new collection in my eyes, as they contain the very best of the collection and for a fraction of the price.  Also with me being a ma-hoo-ssive James Bond fan I had to try out this set.

Anyway this shade is BEAUTIFUL. However, One Coat is Not Enough (see what I did there?), and I must admit I nearly took this off straight away as I hated the formula, but once that third coat goes on the streaks disappear and it becomes so smooth and slightly frosted, with a pink shimmer in among the silver base colour

OPI The Bondettes mini set. Features Goldeneye, The Spy Who Loved Me, The World is Not Enough and Live and Let Die
Back to the Leopard Print. The OPI base was perfect in my mind for the shimmery leopard print I had pictured in my head. I added the dots just using the bottle brush. The gold is Goldeneye and the blue is China Glaze Dorothy Who? as swatched here. The more random the dots the better to prevent a pattern or symmetrical effect.

I then used the end of a Kerbie dipped into black polish (Maybelline Express Finish) to make a smudged dotted outline on either side of the coloured splodges, trying to make it as random as possible. I rather enjoyed the final effect, and was pleased with how well the colours went together. Has anyone else tried this with different colours? I can't wait to try this again but worried I'll choose horrible colours!

Hope you enjoyed this post. I hope to be able to post more regularly but uni work is getting me down!
